- The “Control, Protection, and Automation of Electric Power Systems” program is one of the newest educational programs aimed at preparing specialists capable of solving scientific, technical, and industrial tasks in the field of electricity production, distribution, and consumption control.
- The PSA department has seven educational and research laboratories equipped with advanced computing systems, microprocessor-based protection and automation devices, telecommunication support, and control systems from leading global companies. Specialized training centers based in the department serve as laboratory facilities and an environment for implementing course and diploma projects.
- This training program provides graduates with excellent opportunities for employment and fulfilling work in international electric power companies, research and design institutes, and organizations such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, as well as numerous Ukrainian companies whose activities are related to information security, computer technologies, protection, and automation systems.

Admission of foreign citizens to the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” is carried out based on the results of placement testing and a Contract signed between the University administration and the applicant or another higher educational institution with physical or legal persons. Admission is also possible under international agreements, by letters from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and within the framework of government orders.
Bachelor Degree is an educational and qualification level that provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills sufficient for successful professional activity in a chosen specialty.
Admission of foreign citizens to the Bachelor Degree program is carried out on a competitive basis in the form of placement testing.
The main requirements for admission to the full Bachelor Degree program are:
- a document confirming completed secondary education;
- language proficiency at level B1 or higher, confirmed through entrance examinations;
- satisfactory health condition;
- personal submission of the application and required documents from July 1 to October 15.
Conditions for admission of foreign citizens to the Bachelor Degree at Igor Sikorsky KPI:
- completed full secondary education;
- successful entrance examination (interview);
- a university invitation.
Foreign citizens who received a full secondary education certificate in Ukraine and certificates of foreign language training in the relevant subjects have the right to enter the first year of study without an interview — on a competitive basis and under a signed contract.
