Oleksandr Yandulskyi is the chairman of the Scientific and Methodological Commission on Electrical Engineering of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, member of the professional council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Honorary member of the International Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (USA), member of the collegium of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, chairman of the specialized council, Laureate of the State Prize.
In 1976 he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where he has been working since the same year, consecutively holding positions of engineer-researcher, junior researcher, assistant, associate professor, leading researcher, professor, head of the department of AE. In 1981 he successfully completed his postgraduate studies at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. In 1997 he defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering. In 1999, Oleksandr Yandulskyi was appointed as Dean of the FEPEA, a position he honorably served until 2024. In 2000 he was awarded the scientific title of professor. He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications, including monographs, textbooks, and teaching manuals. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. degrees.
Oleksandr Yandulskyi delivers lectures on the discipline “Fundamentals and Means of Information Transmission in Power Engineering.” He also supervises bachelor’s and master’s theses.

Denys Derevianko

In 2010, Denys Derevianko graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with a master degree in “Electrical Power Consumption Systems”. He pursued postgraduate studies at NTUU “KPI” and in 2016, he defended his Ph.D. Dissertation in the specialty “Electrical Complexes and Systems”. After defending his Ph.D. Dissertation, Denys Derevianko worked as an assistant, senior lecturer and associate professor at the Department of Power Supply of the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management. He is the author of approximately hundred publications, including one monograph and six patents. Multiple-time winner of competitions at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the category “Young Teacher-Researcher”. Participant in numerous professional international projects and internships in European countries. In January 2025, he defended his Doctoral Dissertation in the specialty “Power Systems and Complexes”. Since September 2025, he has been serving as Acting Head of the Department of PSA at the FEPEA.
Denys Derevianko conducts lectures, practical sessions, and laboratory classes in the disciplines “Fundamentals of Structured Programming in C#” and “Solving Power Engineering Problems in Matlab”.

Anatolii Marchenko

In 1985 Anatolii Marchenko graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation of NTUU “KPI” in the specialty “Cybernetics of Power Systems” and remained working at the department. In 1993 he defended his dissertation on the topic “Transients in tone channels, organized on distribution electrical networks”. He is the author of about 80 scientific and 10 methodical works.
Anatolii Marchenko is Responsible for the research activities of the Department of Automation of Power Systems. He delivers lectures in the courses “Automatic Control in Power Systems” and “Theory of Automatic Control”. Supervises students’ master’s and bachelor’s theses.

Oleksandr Dmytrenko

In 1994, Oleksandr Dmytrenko graduated from the FEPEA of NTUU “KPI” with a degree in “Control systems of production and distribution of electric energy”. He has been working at the department of PSA since 1998. He defended his PhD dissertation on on “Improving the Efficiency of Microprocessor-Based Relay Protection Devices of Distribution Networks.” Author of 26 scientific papers, 8 methodological works, and holds a patent certificate for an invention.
Oleksandr Dmytrenko is responsible for the educational and methodological activities of the Department of PSA. He delivers lectures and conducts laboratory classes in the courses “Relay Protection and Automation of Power Systems”, “Relay Protection of Electrical Networks”, “System Automation”, and “Modern Control Theory and Automation Tools for Power and Electromechanical Objects”. He supervises students’ master’s and bachelor’s theses.

Oleh Khomenko

Oleh Khomenko graduated from the FEPEA faculty of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1978 with a degree in “Cybernetics of Electrical Systems” and remained to work at the department of Power Systems Automation. In 1990, he defended his PhD dissertation on “Models and Methods for Optimizing the Operation Modes of Distribution Electrical Networks for Personal Computers”. Author of approximately 90 scientific papers and methodological works.
Oleh Khomenko is responsible for the educational and organisational activities of the Department of PSA. He is the programme director of the Master’s degree educational-professional programme “Management, Protection, and Automation of Power Systems” and the tutor of groups EK-41 and EK-п41. He delivers lectures in the courses “Mathematical Problems in Power Engineering”, “Computational Methods and Algorithmisation”, and “Special Issues in Power Production and Distribution”. He supervises students’ master’s and bachelor’s theses.

Anatolii Omelchuk

Anatolii Omelchuk graduated in 1982 from the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (now the Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine) with a degree in “Electrification of Agriculture”. In 1989, he defended his PhD dissertation on “Optimisation of Parameters and Operation Modes of Transformer Substations in the Agro-Industrial Complex”. He worked and taught for many years at the aforementioned institute. His total scientific and pedagogical experience exceeds 35 years. Since 2024, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of PSA. Author of over 50 publications, including 11 textbooks and monographs, more than 30 publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals (2 in Scopus), and 10 patent certificates and inventions. He is the supervisor and participant of the research initiative “Transactive Power Systems”.
Anatolii Omelchuk is the tutor of group EK-51. He delivers lectures, laboratory, and practical classes in the courses “Relay Protection and Automation of Power Systems”, “System Anti-Failure Automation”, “Fundamentals of Metrology and Electrical Measurements”, and “Fundamentals of Scientific Research”. He supervises students’ diploma projects and master’s theses, and oversees pre-graduation practice.

Artem Nesterko graduated in 2013 from the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics of NTUU “KPI” with a degree in “Control Systems of Production and Distribution of Electric Power” and continued his work at the Department of PSA. In 2017, he defended his PhD dissertation on “Improving the Quality of Frequency Control in Power Systems with Renewable Energy Sources”. Author of 10 scientific papers and 2 methodological works.
Artem Nesterko is the tutor of all part-time study groups. Daryna Lavrenova graduated in 2002 from NTUU “KPI” with a degree in “Information and Measurement Systems”. In 2009, she defended her PhD dissertation on “Improving the Accuracy of Assessing the Professional Level of Testing Laboratories”. Author of 15 scientific papers.
Daryna Lavrenova is responsible for supporting the employment of the Department’s alumni and coordinates the admission campaign to the master’s programme. Dmytro Nastenko graduated in 1992 from the Faculty of Cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University with a degree in “Applied Mathematics”. He has been working at the Department of PSA since 2007. Author of 24 scientific works (3 published abroad) and 40 methodological works and textbooks.
